A shy city man finds love with a wild country girl when he treks to North Carolina to meet his dying father (a covert hetero cross-dresser) and help secretly give away his beloved birds a day at a time: a partridge, two turtledoves, three French hens, four calling birds, five golden rings, six geese a’layin, etc..

BRIEF SYNOPSIS:
Handsome, timid Grant (30) temporarily leaves his dominating mother and tax assistant job in Chicago to go to Lake Lure, North Carolina to meet his dying father. At the same time, street singer/beggar Sissy (30) is kicked out of a Tennessee trailer park so she also goes to Lake Lure seeking her estranged sister.
Grant meets his unattractive “Aunt Kris” (really his hetero cross-dressing father) who asks Grant to covertly give away her beloved birds before she dies: the partridge on December 25, the 1st Day Of Christmas, two turtledoves on December 26, three French hens on December 27, etc..
Kris conceals his identity day by day as the two bond when sneaking birds to their diverse neighbors: beautiful Latin alcoholic Maria, her adorable but trashy half-sister Sissy, hunter Paul, joker Brick, aging zaftig African-American Georgia, the comical Asian couple, Joe the thief pretending to be blind – and virgin Delilah competing for Grant’s love.
Refusing to follow directions for the first time in his life (finally!), Grant does not give the five golden rings to rich Delilah as Kris demands – but instead to poor Sissy, the self-deprecating guitarist who has stolen Grant’s heart (and other jewelry). Grateful Sissy sells the five golden rings for $8,000 and emerges as confident as a third runner-up in a trailer beauty pageant can be. Grant and Sissy’s sweet opposites-attract romance is as much fun as prankster Brick’s “Free Speech Cafe”- which gives free coffee for inappropriate jokes – where the dozen diverse lovable neighbors meet up daily.
At the end of the 1st Act, all figure out Kris is the Secret Santa – and that Kris is a man.
The 2nd Act escalates drama, lies and romances.
The 3rd Act delivers supernatural miracles (insecure Kris who felt he never helped people has Near Death Experiences and gets stuck in a glitch between worlds and finds his ghost-self can finally help people – in miraculous ways!).
